With more than 30 years behind the chair, I believe great hair starts with listening. I take the time to understand what you love, what you don’t, how much maintenance you actually want, and what works best for your hair and lifestyle.
Balayage is my favorite—and most requested—color service. I love the creativity of customizing the placement, dimension and tone to complement each client and create beautiful color that grows out naturally.
I also have extensive experience in all aspects of cutting and coloring, including traditional highlights, dimensional blondes and brunettes, gray coverage, modern gray blending, and customized haircuts for all.

Hair By Torrie is now located inside my private Salty Hair Salon suite at SRS Salon Ro Suites in Tehachapi. The new space allows me to offer an even more relaxed, personal experience with one client at a time and my full attention on you.Your appointment is your time. Come in, get comfortable, and make yourself at home. We can talk and laugh, you can vent about your day, or you can simply relax and enjoy some quiet time.
I want the little details to be part of your experience too—from a thorough consultation and relaxing shampoo and scalp massage to a beverage and snack while you’re here and a finished style before you leave. My goal is for you to never feel rushed and to leave feeling cared for, confident, and loving your hair.

Simple, All-Inclusive Pricing
I want your appointment to be relaxing—not a list of surprise add-ons. My color services are priced to include what is needed to complete your look, such as lightener or color, toner/gloss, haircut, and finished style. If you choose not to have a haircut during your color appointment, the service price remains the same.
Prices listed are starting prices and are based on the time reserved for your service. Extra-long or thick hair, major color changes, or additional time and product may increase the final price. We will always discuss this before moving forward.
Includes K18 Molecular Repair Treatment (not included with grey retouch), toner/gloss, haircut, relaxing shampoo, conditioner, relaxing scalp massage, and finished style.
Additional time, when needed, is $80/hour.
Balayage or Sunkissed Highlights $250+ / 3hrs
Customized, dimensional color designed specifically for your hair, desired result, and maintenance preferences. Balayage is perfect for creating everything from soft, natural brightness to brighter blondes with a seamless, natural grow-out.
Traditional Highlights $225+/ 2.5hrs
Love that classic, brighter-from-the-root highlighted look? This service uses traditional woven foils throughout the head to create consistent brightness and dimension from roots to ends.
Perfect for clients who prefer a more traditional highlighted blonde rather than a lived-in or balayage look.
Face Framing Highlights $175 / 2hrs
Brighten up your look with some Face Framing Highlights. This technique focuses on adding highlights around your face, including your sides and "money piece," creating a fresh and luminous appearance. Perfect for a quick refresh, this service is ideal for anyone looking to add a touch of brightness and dimension without a lengthy appointment.
Express Grey Coverage $130 / 1.5hrs
Experience an express Gray Coverage service, which covers 100% of your grays with a processing time of just 10 minutes! Perfect for a quick retouch, this efficient treatment allows you to achieve a fresh, polished look without spending hours in the salon.

A Few Fun Facts About Me
I’ve been married to my Wyoming cowboy for 29 years; we raised four pretty amazing kids, and somehow we’re officially empty nesters… at least for now! Our house definitely isn’t empty though—we still have plenty of fur babies keeping us company.
When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll probably find me playing volleyball or softball, behind a camera as the photographer and social media person for our local high school varsity baseball team, attempting another sourdough loaf, or binge-watching a good series. And just so we’re clear—if you recommend a show to me, all the episodes better be out. I do not have the patience to wait a week for the next one. 😂
As for my age? I dare you to guess. Let’s just say I’ve been doing hair for 30+ years and somehow still think my body should be able to do everything, including sports, as I did back in the day. It strongly disagrees. 😂
I love good food, good conversation, and people who don’t take themselves too seriously. I’ll laugh with you, listen when you need to vent, and always be honest with you about your hair—even when the answer isn’t exactly what you were hoping to hear.
